   SEBC-BI & SMCA signs MoU with JICA Friends – 26/03/2010
Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Friends Network 

As part of SEBC continuous support for business leadership for the purpose of activating development programmes in Syria, the Business Incubator of the Syrian Enterprise and Business Centre (SEBC-BI) and the Syrian Management and Consultants Association (SMCA) signed a Memo of Understanding (MoU) with Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Friends Network at Omaya Hotel in Damascus on 24 February, 2010.

The memo aims to place the foundation of joint cooperation between SEBC-BI, SMCA with JICA Friends Network in order to form a base of cooperation for the exchange of expertise between the three parties.

Mr Hisham Khayat, Senior Business Development Consultant at SEBC explained that the agreement is dedicated to the exchange of expertise and information for activating and developing JICA, coordinating joint activities, the execution of awareness and orientation campaigns on the initiatives and plans for supporting JICA activities.

“The agreement states that SMCA will provide technical assistance through information and networking services in addition to consulting and support in order to prepare a new business plan for JICA and find the suitable financial recourses”, said Mr Nawaf Ziedan, President of the Board of Directors of SMCA adding the agreement includes an award for JICA individuals distinguished in their work.

The agreement was signed by Mr Khayat, from SEBC-BI, Mr Zeidan, from SMCA and Dr Mostafa al-Aghbar, from JICA Friends Network in the presence of experts from the three sides.
