COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Makdisi Bros. is a privately owned company established in 1985. The factory, which occupies 600 square metres and employs 50 people, specialises in the production of children’s classic and formal garments. It has an estimated daily capacity of 250 sets, with an annual turnover of US$ 50,000,000.

PRODUCT:

Product range:

The company produces children’s classic and formal garments for 2 to 12 year olds.

Sales:

The company has workshops in three different building locations, where work is sub-contracted. It sells 70% of its production on the local market through wholesalers and the remainder is exported to the Arab countries and the Gulf area.

Manufacturing facilities:

The factory has 40 sewing machines and is equipped with modern, up-to-date machinery used in most stages of production.

Quality Control System:

The quality of the company’s products is very good for making up and finishing and meets international requirements. The management operates a technical system to control the various stages of production.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The company seeks the following:

• To start a long-term cooperation agreement with a European partner in order to acquire the experience of Western standards.
• To enter a European market
• Technical know-how transfer agreement.
• To manufacture under licence.
