COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is a public sector company and belongs to the General Company for Textile Industries established in 1978. This company is specialized in spinning cotton yarns with a turnover of about USD 20 million. The company employs 1980 persons from whom 30 engineers and 335 technicians. The capital investment reached USD 50 million at the establishing date. The yarns are of very good quality (up to 25% USTER).

The company has two spinning mills, combed and carded, both have totally 15000 sqm. area. All production halls are equipped with air conditioning systems.

PRODUCTS:

Raw materials: 100% Syrian cotton

Products range:

• Cotton yarns, combed N° 1/20 - 1/32 Eng.
• Cotton yarns, carded N° 1/20 - 1/32 Eng.
• Cotton yarns carded and twisted N° 2/20 Eng.
• Total production capacity is 6800 tons / year.
• Secondary products: about 500 tons / year of cotton waste.

Sales:

The company sells 100% of its products directly in the local market.

Manufacturing facilities

The company has:

• Opening and cleaning lines with blending rooms
• 1 Carding mill and 1 combing mill.
• Spinning halls with total area of about 15000 sqm. and 75000 ring spinning heads
• Savio combing machines in study.
• 2 Cone-to-cone doubling machines.
• 18 Twisting machines.
• Winding facilities and packaging in bags.

Quality control system:

The quality control department consisting of 40 people who direct all quality control operations during and after manufacturing. The laboratory for measuring the yarns is equipped with USTER measuring units.

Yarns are: ring-spoon, Usterised and packed in bags.

ISO 9002 is in study after renewing the machinery.
