COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is of public sector and belongs to the General Organisation for Textile Industries established in 1983. This company is specialized in spinning cotton yarns with a turnover of about USD 22 million. The company employs 1073 persons from whom 32 engineers and 205 technicians. The capital investment reached USD 65 million at the establishing date. The yarns are of excellent quality. The company produces mainly open-end cotton yarns in 55000 sqm. air conditioned halls.

PRODUCTS:

Raw materials: 100% Virgin Syrian cotton

Products range:

• Cotton yarns, open-end no. 1/6 - 1/20 Eng. annual capacity = 9000 tons / year.
• Cotton yarns, twisted (2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 filament) annual capacity = 1200 tons / year.
• Secondary products: about 580 tons / year of cotton wastes.

Sales:

The company sells its products directly to public and private sectors and to export as well.

Manufacturing facilities

The company has:

• Opening and cleaning lines with blending rooms
• Carding mill.
• Drawing machines.
• Spinning halls with 20400 open end (turbo) spinning heads.
• Cone-to-cone doubling machines, Schlafhorst autoconer with uster clearers.
• Twisting machines Volkmann 2 for1.
• Packaging facilities in cardboard on pallets.

Quality control system:

The quality control department consists of a central laboratory with well-trained staff. The products are being inspected and tested during manufacturing process, and after that yarn can be tested in-legth by uster.
