COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is of private ownership, established in 1989. The owner has long years of experience in the field of textile manufacturing. The company employs 200 persons (including 8 engineers, 10 administratives and 10 technicians), with a turnover of USD 6.30 million.

PRODUCTS:

The main raw materials for manufacturing are acrylic, wool yarns, cotton and polyester.

Products range

Main products are:

• Blankets: 90% acrylic - 10% polyester        (1000 pcs/day)

          50% Wool - 50% acrylic                (500 pcs/day)

• Fireproof blankets (Quantity upon request)
• Terry Towels: cotton 100% (1000 Kg/day with a target to reach 15 tons/day after 6 months).
• Bed covers: 60% cotton - 40% synthetic yarns (2000 sq.m/day)

• Jacquard tablecloths: 100% cotton (2000 sq.m/day).

Sales:

The company is selling its products directly to the local market in retail and wholesales through a wide spread distribution net and agencies. About 50% of the products are for the local market and the remaining 50% is for export to Germany, France, Russia, Croatia, Hungary, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Libya.

Manufacturing facilities

The company has a complete line beginning with system for production and twisting of acrylic yarn (3 tons/day). The weaving hall involves 8 electronic jacquard looms for production of blankets and 2 air jet looms for terry production. The blanket-finishing section has 1 inspection machine, 4 raising machines, shearing, cutting and ironing machines with fiber suction system equipped with cyclone separators. It also includes cutting tables, electric cutting scissors, and blankets sewing machines. The dyeing mill comprises of 2 dyeing machines, 1 drying machine, 1 washing machine and 1 hydro-extracting machine and 1 Tumbler machine. The auxiliaries are 2 diesel generators that form a stand-by power station, together with 2 air compressors.

Quality control system:

Some equipment is used for quality control such as yarn testing devices, dyeing laboratory (including color spectrometer and automatic mixing apparatus for dyes and others.
