COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Kibabi Fashion is a privately owned company established in 1991. The factory, which occupies 500 square metres and employs 45 people, specialises in the production of children’s garments for boys and girls. It has an estimated capacity of 100 sets, with a monthly turnover of US$ 2,000.

PRODUCT:

Product range:

The company produces garments (ready to wear) for children, boys and girls from 3 to 14 years old. The fabrics used are 100% cotton made in Syria.

Sales:

The company sells 70% of its production on the local market through wholesalers and the remainder is exported to countries such Lebanon and the Gulf area.

Manufacturing facilities :

The factory is equipped with modern, up-to-date machinery used in most stages of production. It has 30 sewing machines producing products of very high quality in every respect, the fabrics used, making-up and finish.

Quality Control System:

The quality of the company’s products is high and meets international requirements. The company operates a quality control system at all stages of production and is in the process of obtaining ISO 9000 Certification.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The company seeks the following:

• Joint-venture with European companies.
• To improve product quality in order to increase export share
• Technical know-how transfer agreement.
• To manufacture under licence.
