COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is of private ownership, established in 1992. The owners have special experience in the field of cotton garments. The capital investment reached USD 1.2 million. The company employs 35 persons, and has a turnover of USD 0.9 million. It produces cotton fabrics and different cotton garments The company has a manufacturing hall of about 1400 sqm. plus 400 sqm. Stores with extension possibility.

PRODUCTS:

The main raw materials are:

• Cotton yarns from local resources (95%).
• Mixed yarns from local resources (5%).
• The main products are:
• Cotton fabrics for own use and only 10% for sale.
• Cotton wear: T-shirts (top quality), annual output (650000-750000 pcs.).
• Sports wear: polo-shirts, rugby-shirts, and others upon demand

Sales:

The company is exporting 80% of output to France, the rest 10% tee-shirts and 10% cotton fabrics are sold in local market.

The sale goes to customers through direct sale or in wholesale through its distribution center in Paris.

Manufacturing facilities

The company has a complete line beginning with knitting fabrics, fashion design, and patron model making. Seven round knitting machines, 1 Savio machine, 1 cutting table (8 meters) and 20 sewing machines with other auxiliaries including ironing, steam generator, packaging, stand by power generator (220KVA).

Quality control system:

• Quality inspection is done through qualified persons to select 1st class products and another direct inspection is effected through the ironing process.
• ISO 9002 is planned for the near future

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

• The company seeks similar partners in the EU in order to produce under license and open new export markets especially targeting Germany, Spain, Italy and UK.
• The company is expanding its activities through a new line for sportswear including new machinery and technologies.
