COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Al Taweel is a privately owned company, established in 1974, specialising in the production and sale of all sorts of medical bands and women’s lingerie. The company employs 40 people working in two shifts and occupies 1000 square metres of land.

Product range:

The factory produces the following products:

• Medical bands of all kinds
• Elastic grip bandages
• Women’s underwear, lingerie and related accessories
• Fabrics made of rubber.

Sales

• .The company manufactures under its own trade mark (Diamond tex)
• Al Taweel Co. sells 40% of its products to the local market through authorised agents. The remaining 60% is exported to countries such as Germany, USA, Bulgaria, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Jordan

Manufacturing facilities :

The factory is equipped with modenr, up-to-date machines used in different stages of production. The machines are imported from Italy, Germany, Japan and Switzerland.

Quality Control System:

The company applies an internal quality control system at all stages of production, and is in the process of obtaining ISO 9000 Certification.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The company is aiming to expand its export market possibly through:

• contact with European companies willing to act as distributors in their countries
• Sub-contracting for a European company
• Technical know-how transfer agreements
