COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is of public sector and affiliated to the General Company for Textile Industries established in 1975. This company is specialized in manufacturing of wool carpets, cotton fabrics, and waterproof fabrics, with a turnover of about USD 6.0 million. The company employs 630 persons. It Owns 10000 sqm. divided into production halls, stores and offices.

PRODUCTS:

Raw materials: local cotton and imported polyester, mixed, wool yarns. Also jute yarns are imported for the production of carpets and tents.

Products range:

• Cotton fabrics, mixed fabrics and polyester lace (about 1.3 Mil. Meters / year).
• Ground woolen carpets (about 12000 sqm. / year).
• Wall carpets, tents, industrial textile for belt transporters (about 150000 sqm. / year).
• Waterproof fabrics.

Sales:

The company sells its products directly to public sector establishments and to consumer cooperatives. It sells also directly through its own distribution halls. The local market consumes 100% of production.

Manufacturing facilities

The company has its own patron design, Jacquards, warping machines, winding machines and colling machines make the preparation for textile production. In the weaving halls there are 173 weaving looms of different types. In the knitting hall there are 4 knitting machines and a number of sewing machines. A lot of auxiliary equipment is also installed: 4 steam boilers plus 1 oil boiler plus stand by power station of a cap. 2x600 KVA.

Supplementary equipment:

• Complete dyeing house including textile-drying room for 220 cm width.
• Complete waterproof handling line.
• Carpets finishing line, including cleaning, cutting, and shaving machines.
• Packaging is manual.

Quality control system:

There is a quality control department directs all quality control and inspection operations in every production sector.

The company is looking for:

• Upgrading of equipment's and technology
• Partnership for production according to distribution agreements.
• Establishing a joint venture with a potential European partner in order to complete production facilities.
