Al Walid spinning corporation is a publicly owned company with capital investment of US$ 6,240,000 and 1324 employees. The annual turnover is US$ 14,580,000.

PRODUCT:

Product range:

• Carded Cotton Yarns: The raw cotton spinning size is 8.5 -1/30 Ne. according to the specifications of Oster publication of 1998.
• Mixed yarn, size 1/40 Ne, will be produced during the second half of 1998.

Sales:

The company sells 50-60% of its products to the public sector, and the remainder goes to the private sector in Syria. It only exports cotton waste to the international market.

Manufacturing facilities:

The factory is generally well organised and the machines are in a good working order, there is a plan to update some of their machines.

Quality Control System:

Correct attention is paid to routine quality control checks during the various stages of production. There is a well equipped testing laboratory on the premises.

• Co-operation with European producers / manufacturers in areas such as product development, and exchanging up-to-date information on the textile and spinning industry.
