COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Waell Clothes is a private company owned by Mr. Mouhammed Yehya DARWICH, who is currently a member of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce. The company has two factories. The Damascus factory specialises in the production of women cotton night-wear with 75 employees and an annual turnover of US$ 850,000, and the other factory, which is located in Homs, specialises in special wedding night-wear. The company also sub-contracts a factory in Damascus to provide them with cotton’s fabric.

Sales:

The company sells 60% of its product to the local market where it has 15 to 20% of the local market share. The remaining production is exported to countries such as Germany, Cyprus, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and to the Gulf area..

Manufacturing facilities:

The factory is equipped with modern machines and has recently been extended to cope with the increasing demand for its products.

Quality Control System:

The quality of the company’s products corresponds to customer requirements.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The company aims to increase production. It is also seeking contact with European partners willing to establish joint ventures or know how agreements in order to assist in improving their production process and to promote the products in Europe, and also to reach an agreement to manufacture under licence.
