COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is specialised in the dyeing and finishing of knitted tubular cotton and mixed fabrics. It was established in 1994 under investment law no. 10. Technotex is situated in the Sabboura area and occupies 4,000 square metres. It has 90 employees working three shifts, and the annual turnover is US$ 2,800,000.

Product range:

Technotex offers the following commissioning services for tubular knitted cotton fabrics received from textile traders or manufactures:

• Dyeing, bleaching
• Raising
• Finishing
• Packaging

Sales:

The firm provides its services to the local market only. It is considered to be the second dyeing and finishing factory in Damascus, where it has 25% of the market share. As for Syria as a whole, Technotex is considered to be the fourth with approximately 8% of the market share.

Manufacturing facilities:

The factory is equipped with modern machines and up-to-date technology. The average age of the machines is five years.

Quality Control System:

The company is committed to produce fabrics of international standard quality and has appointed a qualified production manager who is supervising and controlling the fabrics at the various stages of the production process which includes dyes and auxiliary stuffs against specified standards. The management is seeking to obtain ISO 9000 Certification.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The management is always aiming at keeping its reputation in the market as one of the best dyeing and finishing service company in Syria.

The company’s business objectives and strategy are the followings:

• Installing a new processing line for woven fabrics.
• Use ecologically friendly products in the processing.
• Seeking contact with companies willing to enter into an agreement or joint venture to assist with technical know-how, in order to improve the dyeing and other processes. It is also seeking the possibility of penetrating the international market.
• The management is as well intended to co-operate with experienced international companies specialised in water sewage clearing and recycling.
