COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The company is privately owned by Mr. Sadek GHANNAM and was established on 1961. It produces knitwear and sportswear for men, women and children. The factory has a total capacity of 3 tons per day. It is located in Al Ghouta area and occupies 1500 square metres.

Sales:

The company sells 55% of its production, especially ready-to-wear garments and pyjamas, to the international market (Holland, Germany, Lebanon, and Jordan). The remaining production is sold to garment manufacturers in Syria.

Manufacturing facilities:

Most of the factory machines are modern, and they are in the process of purchasing computerised machines to keep up with the increased demand for better quality products. Expansion is also under way in the form of building a new factory.

Quality Control System:

The company produces quality products that correspond to customer quality requirements.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The company is interested in co-operating in the following areas:

• Co-operate with manufacturers of blended yarn spinner in order to produce high quality (dying and finishing) to follow the latest trends in yarns.
• Reach an agreement to manufacture under licence or to be sub-contracted by European companies.
• Possible joint venture with European partner.
• Contact with European companies for technical know-how transfer agreements.
