COMPANY OVERVIEW:

The firm was established in 1993 by Mr. Riad Sief, Majed Zayed & Sons, with limited partnership. The owners have 35 years experience in the field of garment manufacturing. The firm, which employs 1200 people, produces all kind of ready-made garments in plants of 14,000 square metres with a production capacity of 6,500 items per day.

The company produces the following products:

• Sports wear
• Working garments
• Men’s garments
• Women’s garments
• Swimwear
• Printing & embroidery workshop

Sales:

• The company has a production licence from ADIDAS covering the manufacture and sale of all textile products and bags.
• SEZA sells 30-40% of their output on the local market and exports 60-70% of it.
• Exports to the EU are valued at US$ 9.5 Million and include sports wear to France, work clothes to Germany (Eurodress) and blouses to the UK.
• It has a network of 32 retail outlets for ADIDAS products covering all major Syrian cities.

Manufacturing facilities:

SEZA has modern machines and up-to-date technology in most stages of the production process. (More than 900 machines are in use in seven manufacturing divisions.

Quality Control System:

The company produces good quality products that correspond to customer quality requirements. It is currently in the process of obtaining ISO 9002 Certificate for the work-wear factory, then this will be applied to the rest of the factories.

SEZA is a pioneering company and their aim is to always be a leader in the market. The company’s strategy is the following:

• Reinforcement of ADIDAS licence product
• Establishment of their own collection / brand
• Obtaining other brand name licences from European companies in other types of garments
• Expansion in the European market
• Finding other partners to develop a new product line.
