Damatex is a trading company established in 1980 by Mr. Mouhammad & Arfan Natafji. It is privately owned with 5 factories in the Damascus Free Zone occupying an area over 9,000 square metres. In addition, Damatex sub-contracts work to some 20 other local factories.

• Women’s blouses, skirts and dresses.
• Men’s shirts.
• Men’s trousers.
• Tricots, jeans.
• T-shirts, sweaters.
• Polo shirts.

Sales:

Damatex is a 100% export oriented company with an average annual turnover of US$ 25.5 million. The export countries are: UK, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Belgium, Greece and other countries .

Manufacturing facilities:

Damatex uses modern technology and up-to-date techniques with the ability to adapt better and more advanced systems in various stages of the production process.

Quality Control System:

The quality and overall image of the products is excellent. The company is in the process of implementing Total Quality Management System.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

In order to facilitate the general flow of operations, Damatex is in the process of centralising all of their factories in one place.

Damatex is interested in two types of co-operation:

• licensing agreements with prominent European garment manufacturers,
• increase export into the European market, possibly through distributors and/or joint ventures.
