COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Coulourtex is a private company owned by Dr. Mamoun Al BAHRA and Partners established in 1978. The company has five factories that specialise in dyeing and finishing fabrics and yarns. They employ 160 people and occupy 10,000 square metrs. They have a daily capacity of 12 tons of fabrics, and 1.5 to 3 tons of yarns.

Product range:

The company works on a commission basis providing the following services on behalf of local fabric and garment producers:

• Textile dyeing and finishing (anti-shrink)
• Yarn dyeing and finishing
• Yarn assembly and twisting.

Manufacturing facilities :

The factory is equipped with both old and modern machinery. Recent additions include jet and overflow dyeing machines imported from Germany and the Far East. For “Sanfer-finsh” Santex from (Switzerland) and Volkmann twisting machines from Germany.
The company is also planning to purchase new machines for dyeing and finishing in the near future.

Quality Control System:

The quality of Coulertex service corresponds to customer requirement. The company has its own laboratory for testing (fabrics and yarn) in addition to the colour matching system. The company is following the international quality standards of the international market, such as ISO and OKO-TEX.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

The company seeks the following:

• A joint venture with a European partner
• Transfer of technical know-how agreements in order to assist in improving the dyeing and final process.
• A partner to help them solve water recycling and environmental issues.
